Erie Community Center
In this post, I will give you all the information about the climbing gym Erie Community Center in Erie, Colorado.
The Erie Community Center is the local recreation center for the town of Erie, 12 miles east of Boulder. The facility was opened in January 2008 and was built as a “green” building with many energy-saving features. The center has all the features of a typical recreation center including free Wi-Fi, pool, hot tub, gymnasium, indoor running track, free weights/weight machines and racquetball courts. Admission rates below are for the entire center, the climbing wall is free to use if you are belay certified.
The climbing wall is located in a tower at the end of the building. The climbing wall features 5 belay stations with 4 auto-belay devices and one toprope. Routes that are set using holds (E-Grips or So Ill) are rated between 5.4 and 5.10. Climbing each station using only the wall features (cracks, edges) produces climbs between 5.9 and 5.11+. Usually 2 routes are reset each week and boulder problems are added/removed as needed. Private lessons and Birthday parties are available.
