Job Title: Partnership Engagement Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

I lead on National Governing Body engagement across the partnership through the interpretation of  “Whole Sport Plans and Regional Delivery Plans,  into Humber Specific Action Plans, ensuring  engagement with the wider partnership network.

I lead “Safeguarding” on behalf of the HSP working through the “Safeguarding Through Sport Group” to promote safe and fun sporting opportunities and dealing with any issues or concerns relating to Children Young People and vulnerable adults. Support the team across all other work areas and ensure sport contributes to wider agendas where possible.

Sarah Tague
Job Title: Sports Development Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

My main remit is to support National Governing Bodies of sport to deliver key priorities from their whole sports plan and to marry up National priority with local need. I am the lead officer for Step-into-Sport and look after the community section of the programme.  I am responsible for the operational side of Sports Unlimited. I have recently taken up the role of deputy safeguarding officer and support the work of the safeguarding through sport group.

Please note that Sarah is on maternity leave until May 2012

I lead coaching development across the Humber , working with partners to create strong relationships  which ultimately deliver the Humber Coaching Strategy.  Working with Sports Coach UK I coordinate the Humber Coaching support network and facilitate the delivery of the Humber Sports Partnerships  ‘Courses for All’ Coach Education programme which has  attracted over 500 coaches in its first year.  I also lead on the compilation of Coaching data and the coordination of established coach provider networks

To work closely with the Director and the HSP Executive Board to ensure full Business Support is provided to the Core Team, the HSP Executive Board and across the Partnership.   Key areas of work are, funding, finance, events organisation, supporting partners with performance management across programmes such as Sports Unlimited and the Multi Skills Coach Programme and general administrative support.

To give full administration support to the HSP core team and to assist with co-ordinating events and meetings.  The first point of contact for any coach education course bookings and to support the Coach Education Development Manager with the planning and running of courses for the Coach Education Programme for the HSP and for external partners.

My role at the HSP is to both promote the partnership and increase the profile of community sport across the Humber. This involves a range of communications tools including website,  e-bulletins,  social media, newsletters and publications, videos, branding and image, media communications, marketing  and promotional support for clubs and sports organisations.

Pauline Hardy
Job Title:  Humberside Netball Development Officer, England Netball

Role & Responsibilities:

Over the past year participation in netball has increased in schools, colleges, clubs and at Back to Netball sessions.  There has been an increase in umpires, UKCC qualified coaches and assessors.  We have had some very successful netball events and with the continuance of High 5 netball, traditional netball, the introduction of FastNet, coaching courses, development of junior clubs and school-club links and back to netball sessions – I am looking forward to another great year.

Lora Webster
Job Title: Service Area Coordinator, Hull & District Rugby League

Role & Responsibilities:

I lead on rugby league development across the Humber. My role involves working with a number of partners from the public, private and voluntary sector to ensure that formal and informal rugby league opportunities are available for children as young as 4 years old, right through to men and women over 60 years old. I chair the Service Area Management Group which pulls together all factors of the game including professional clubs, schools, amateur clubs, coaches and referees and work together to grow and improve the sport. I work closely with other governing body staff in the Humber area to develop derivative forms of the game such us touch rugby, tag rugby and wheelchair rugby league as well as working with other key partners to develop special schools tag rugby and specific opportunities for women and girls.

Elliot Hakner
Job Title: Basketball Development Officer

Role & Responsibilities 

My main focus over the past year has been supporting the growth and sustainability of basketball in the Humber, working closely with the key basketball volunteers and professionals. This includes supporting the existing community clubs and helping the creation of new ones.

We have increased the profile of basketball in the Humber, creating and making people aware of the ongoing opportunities to get involved in basketball both playing and volunteering.

Projects such as Get Back into Basketball, All Nations Basketball, Sport Unlimited programmes have been successful in creating playing opportunities for basketball players of all ages, which has enabled the area to form new clubs and established localised basketball competition.

Humber Athletics Network Co ordinator

I work with group of athletics clubs and partners who are involved in the Humber Athletics Network.
 
The Network was set up to promote athletics in the Humber region covering both the north and south bank.
Our aim is to recruit new volunteers, help structure clubs and to promote athletics getting more participants involved
My job is to make sure that the plan is delivered  by working closely with coaches and clubs and we are always looking for new volunteers and clubs to join the network.

Nicola Massingham
Job Title: Humber Equality Participation Officer

Role & Responsibilities:


I work across the partnership to support the development of equitable and inclusive sports opportunities ; working with key partners  to support the development of coaches, volunteers and other key personnel in sport, to increase the provision and accessibility at all levels of participation for all equity groups across the Humber.

I specifically support the role out of the Playground to Podium initiative, which includes leading the organisation and delivery of an Annual County Athlete Assessment Centre which supports the identification and development of talented disabled athletes.
