The Tour of Britain

 The 2008 Tour of Britain will visit a total of 15 venues, beginning in London on Sunday 7th September and finishing in Liverpool eight days later.

The 2008 race will feature 16 teams of six riders, invitations are sent out to many of the teams during the spring, but the final line-up won’t be confirmed until after Tour de France with the individual riders only being finalised up to 48 hours before the event kicks off!

The route of the 2008 Tour of Britain is designed to deliver a worthy overall winner to Liverpool on September 14th, along the way the riders will face every kind of challenge that the UK’s roads have to offer, from windswept coastal roads to steep narrow climbs and much more beyond.

Welcome to stage 5 of the 2008 Tour of Britain which will see the riders racing from Kingston Upon Hull to Dalby Forest. Set against a stunning backdrop, riders will experience a true Yorkshire welcome as they soak up the ambience of the great outdoors whilst facing a challenging and rewarding ride.
