Sports Coaching for Teachers
The Humber Sports Partnership is pleased to launch the first programme of ‘Sports Coaching for Teachers’. This programme is aimed at secondary school PE staff, NQTs and GTPs, across the Humber, giving access to a range of sports ‘master classes’ lead by some of the top names in sport.
The master class sessions aim to give PE staff the opportunity to update their skills and knowledge, learn about new techniques and approaches
in sport and provide resources to take back to schools and integrate into the delivery of the PE curriculum and School Sport more generally.
The four Humber Local Authorities have supported the development of the programme and worked together to produce a range of professional development opportunities, which include some of the core sports across the curriculum.
This is the first time in a number of years that we have coordinated a programme of this kind and feedback will be critical in both informing whether we continue to offer such CPD opportunities and influencing the content of future programmes.
The Courses begin at the KC Stadium on Feb 26th with a football session with coaches from Hull City and professionals from other sports will deliver a range of sessions till July.
A PDF of the brochure is attached and bookings are only made by using the booking form and sending a cheque of purchase order. All Courses are £45. Priority is given to PE Staff but there is a reserve list for others who register interest in attending.
