Funding for clubs and talented athletes

Sport Relief Small Grants Scheme

The Sport Relief Small Grants Scheme is a source of funding for community and voluntary groups in the Humber sub-region. Grants of between £250 and £5000 are available through the Sport Relief Small Grants Scheme.
 
Please note: - Funding is limited and will only be allocated to projects that fulfill all of the criteria, along with which local authority the organisation sits in, and the demand for the funding from that area.

Sports Match: 

A government sports scheme which matches a sponsors contribution, £ for £.

A Lottery grants programme aimed at local communities.

Community Amateur Sports Clubs:

With effect from April 2002 many local amateur sports clubs will be able to register with the Inland Revenue as Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) and benefit from a range of tax reliefs, including Gift Aid.

SportsAid:

SportsAid is able to work with the National Governing Bodies of Sport to identify young athletes and help them to achieve their sporting potential. SportsAid can help in two ways, either through the new Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) which provides tailored services to meet the needs of the next generation of sporting talent, or through traditional SportsAid Grants offering direct financial support to young athletes.
