Step into Sport Conference 2005

The Step Into Sport Volunteer Conference 2005 took place on Wednesday 13th April 2005 at the University of Hull, Sports and Fitness Centre.

Over 100 students from the Humber region attended the conference, which included a tour of the excellent sports science facilities, two practical workshops from Adam Lowthorpe (East Riding County Football Association) and Paul Haworth (Youth Sport Trust) and a careers workshop delivered by Jonathan Day and James Wilkinson.
 
Tutors and teachers from schools and colleges also attended and received an update on Mentoring through Step Into Sport from Ellen Layton (PDM, High Ridge Specialist Sports College).
 
The next step for the young people involved in the Step Into Sport Conference, is to start their volunteer placements or to contact the Step Into Sport Coordinators and/or Mentors to find out where they can volunteer in their area!
