An equity policy will ensure that measures are in place so that all needs of a child or young person are met and are safe from abuse. It will ensure that there are equal opportunities for all and will prevent discrimination or prejudice towards any particular group or individual. Organisations should put safeguarding measures in place to combat discrimination and actively encourage all children and young people in their club.
