Safer Working Practice

All adults who work with children and young people (paid or unpaid capacity) have a crucial role to play in shaping their lives. They have a unique opportunity to interact with children and young people in ways that are both affirming and inspiring.  The Safer Working Practices for Adults who Work with Children and Young People is guidance that has been produced to help adults working in all settings to establish safe and responsive environments that safeguard young people and reduce the risk of adults being unjustly accusedof improper or unprofessional conduct. It can be used support safer recruitment and selection practices, induction and ongoing training programmes and where necessary, disciplinary and child protection procedures.
