Courses for All launched in March

02 March 2010

The Humber Sports Partnership is offering the opportunity for local club volunteers and coaches to expand their coaching skills, or access training opportunities which can help to develop their clubs.

The Courses for All programme is being launched in April 2010. This comprehensive coach education, training and development programme will enable
coaches, athletes, volunteers and club members at any level, from any background, the opportunity to improve their skills, knowledge and qualifications.
The programme will offer opportunities for coaches to learn skills to develop their coaching career or improve the running or coaching practice within their clubs. The programme has been created following consultation with coaches, clubs, National Governing Bodies (NGBs)and other key partners including local authorities and Sports Coach UK (SCUK). Through these consultations a range of excellent facilities have been identified throughout the region to enable everyone to have access to these opportunities.

A course brochure will be mailed out in February outlining the range of courses available. A new online booking system and coach education website
is being developed by Humber Sports Partnership and as well as extensive course information we will include your course reviews and video reports from some sessions. We will be seeking your feedback to further enhance the experience and encourage new clubs and coaches to become involved. We will also interview participants and pass on their experiences.

A new club and coach E bulletin is being launched in February and this will provide a range of features on courses, reviews, coaching and club development. This free service is being especially developed for coaches and club volunteers so just contact us if you would like to be added to this bulletin.

The extensive course programme includes generic workshops from SCUK, Running Sports and other local training providers, sports specific courses from
NGBs and a dynamic leadership programme especially developed for the huge numbers of people wanting to get on the first rung of the coaching ladder;
plus a wide variety of disability courses.

Whatever your level or experience we will have a course for you. Courses for All will run twice yearly from April - September 2010 and from October 2010 - March 2011. For further information about one of the largest sports coach education programmes in the UK please contact the Humber Sports Partnership on 01482 387491.

The Coach Education website will be going live in March on www.humbersport.com/coaching
