Powerchair Football Players Needed

07 November 2011

The East Riding County Football Association, Hull Tigers Sports & Education Trust and the Humber Sports Partnership are currently looking for individuals in a wheelchair who may be interested in playing Powerchair Football.

Powerchair Football is a team sport for people with disabilities who use power wheelchairs or electric wheelchairs. It is played indoors on a basketball court and players use powerchairs equipped with footguards to attack, defend and spin the football in an attempt to score goals.

We are looking at establishing regular sessions for anyone interested in taking part. At this stage there is no set age group for the sessions and anyone in a manual wheelchair who may be interested in playing are also invited to register an interest with us.

If this is something you are interested in having a go at and would like further information about future sessions please contact Nicola Massingham on 01472 387491 or email nmassingham@goodwin-centre.org
