Club Development Toolkit
A resource to assist in the development of sports clubs across the Humber. The Club Development Toolkit will help to set up new clubs and provide new resources and support for established clubs to assist with club accreditation.
Introduction
Every sport club and organisation across the Humber sub region plays an integral part in promoting sport and physical activity in people of all ages. The Humber Sport Partnership recognise this, and are committed to supporting all clubs in offering a safe, inclusive environment for participants as well as benefiting from support available through our partners.
New clubs are being established all the time and the Club Development Toolkit has been designed to offer supporting advice to clubs of all sports, sizes, and levels. It aims to be a supporting reference to ensure clubs operate safely and have the correct policies and procedures in place to enable them to be in the best possible position to attract new members and engage in work with schools and their local community. The toolkit has been split into key areas to allow you to select quickly the relevant information you need, and provide templates and links to other specialist websites where required.
The Club Development Toolkit has been produced by the Humber Sport Volunteer Group comprising of representatives from all local authorites in the Humber and CVS organsiations and following subsequent extensive consultation with sport club representatives from all levels, national governing body officers, local authority representatives, sport development groups, and Voluntary Centres to ensure key information has been included.
Sport clubs will have a crucial role in supporting delivering a legacy of increased participation following the 2012 Olympics and by following the guidance offered in this development toolkit will ensure you are in the best possible position to capitalise on the opportunities presented in the near future.
