Providing access to sport across the region

The Humber Sports Partnership

The Humber Sports Partnership is a partnership of key agencies committed to providing a high quality delivery system for people to benefit from sport across the Humber sub-region.

The Delivery System for sport has two aims:

  • To increase the number of people taking part in sport and recreation especially amongst the hard to reach.
  • To build clear pathways for people with sporting talent to achieve their full potential.

The Delivery System connects people taking part in sport and active recreation with policy makers and investors in a simple and coordinated way.

With County Sport Partnerships at its heart the delivery system is the 'chain' which will allow the appropriate mix of funding and policies to be drawn down to meet locally determined demand.

The Delivery System for sport in the Humber offers the opportunity to create one system for sport across the whole sub-region, bringing together key partners such as Local Authorities, School Sport Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport and other key agencies to work together under a common framework, based on the needs of the residents of the Humber.
